Footsteps Contracted to Deliver Shared History Programme for Newry Mourne & Down District Council

November 2020 to September 2021

Footsteps is delighted to announce that they will be facilitating the PEACE IV Shared History Programme for Newry, Mourne & Down District Council. Focusing on the legacy of John Mitchel, an Irish Nationalist and controversial pro slavery advocate, this programme seeks to look the good the bad and the ugly of this man and question how we can use his controversial story to create an more equal society.

Footsteps awarded Arts Council NI grant

Footsteps are delighted to announce they have been awarded a grant from the Arts Council NI to develop a living history training programme for actors, to provide extra training that can be utilised in the tourism and events industry in these difficult times and provide actors the opportunity to learn a new skill in performance to provide more opportunities for employment

Autumn 2019 to Spring 2020

Footsteps is delighted to announce that they will be facilitating the PEACE IV Shared History Programme for Newry, Mourne & Down District Council. This programme will run until the middle of 2020 and will include a series of workshops, site visits, A Creative Writing programme, the writing of a history book, development of online content, Museum Interpretation Design and video archiving, all with a focus on the history of Crime & Punishment in County Down.
